Welcome!
My undergraduate degree in Psychology is from Florida State University and my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology is from University of Central Florida. I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida for 5 years. I became a Qualified Supervisor in 2019 and have a passion for helping other clinicians pursue licensure.
I have worked in a variety of settings including community-based care, inpatient and residential hospitals, and in the school setting. I have primarily worked with children, teens, and families, but welcome adults and couples as well. I welcome the LGBTQ+ community and strive to create a safe space for all. I am able to provide letters of recommendation for gender affirming medical procedures and hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
I am well versed in a variety of therapeutic modalities, but most often use a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral approach. When working with clients, it’s important to me to build effective relationships, enhance strengths, and grow resource networks. If you’ve been needing support, or have been feeling overwhelmed with stress, reach out now to talk with me. Together, we can work on strategies to address the root cause of these difficulties.
I’ve always known I wanted to be a therapist. Helping others is a who part of who I am. Outside of work, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I have two dogs and two cats. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and visiting theme parks in my spare time.
FAQs
How long is each session?
Every therapy session is 50 minutes
How do I schedule an appointment?
I personally handle all of my scheduling. You can contact me to schedule, or you can view my calendar to request an appointment through the client portal here- your secure client portal. For new clients, once you request an appointment, I will review and once confirmed, you will receive an email with consent forms and intake questionnaires to complete prior to your appointment. If you are scheduling an appointment for your minor child, I will need to speak with the parent or legal guardian prior to the first session.
What is your session fee? Do you take insurance?
My session fee is $150 per session
I currently do not accept any insurance plans and would be considered an "out of network" provider by your insurance company, should you have mental health coverage. Upon request, I can provide you with a diagnostic receipt of services (a Superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company. I suggest you contact your insurance company to determine what benefits you have. All sessions are 50 minutes.
How do I pay for sessions?
I accept all major credit cards and HSA cards.
What type of therapy do you do?
I am well versed in a variety of therapeutic modalities, but most often use a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral approach.
